To ensure a smooth tattoo process from beginning to end, it takes considerate action and planning from both the client and artist. It is important to have set agreed upon expectations to be sure communication is clear and understood. Please read the following information to be better prepared for the process.
It is important that when you schedule your tattoo appointment to make it a priority in your schedule. I set aside efficient time to complete the necessary work for your tattoo, and the time is valuable since I book out many months in advance. To avoid complications please review and understand the policy for your deposit.
-I require a non refundable deposit for every tattoo appointment made. The deposit is made to secure the appointment and compensate for the drawing time I need to prepare for your tattoo. Deposits go toward the cost of your tattoo at the time of the completed appointment.
-48 hour notice is required by email or phone to reschedule your appointment. The deposit is good for 1-2 rescheudled appointments. A no call no show, or past 20 minutes late without any notice will be treated as a cancellation and a new deposit is required to secure a new appointment.
-All deposits are non refundable regardless of circumstances. The deposit is to block off my time and covers a very small percentage of that time if you fall through with that appointment.
Here is what to expect at the time of your appointment and some extra information on the policies involved
-DRAWING: On the day of your appointment, I will have a line drawing prepared for your as your design. It will look very plain in comparison to your completed tattoo, as it is just the initial basics I need to complete your tattoo (EXAMPLE PHOTO). This drawing is not shown to your prior to your appointment. I retain rights to the artwork. The deposit is made for the service of drawing but in the event you do not get the tattoo, you do not own the rights to the drawing. Minor adjustments can be made at the time of the appointment, but a complete change of idea or re-draw will result in a new deposit and likely a new appointment.
-you must show up on time- please be respectful of my time and arrive in a timely fashion. I spend hours preparing for your appointment and make it a priority daily to be fully prepared for your appointment. Please be as courteous. If you are expecting to be late, please give me a call at 443-817-2272. Any arrival past 20 minutes late, or a complete no call no show will result in a cancellation, and you would need a new deposit and a new appointment.
-be healthy and prepared. Please be free of any flu or cold like symptoms, be free of any influence of drugs and/or alcohol, and have no children or persons requiring supervision with you. It takes a great deal of focus and concentration to make great tattoos for you, and I need you to be as equally focused and healthy. Any violations above will result in a cancellation. I do not mind your bringing 1-2 friends as a support system.
-Have proper identification and honesty. the state of Maryland requires proper government issued identification to be tattooed so please bring that with you to the appointment. Your safety and health is very important to me, so please be honest on your paperwork and alert me immediately of any allergies or health concerns, especially to latex, adhesives, or lidocaine. To be tattooed by me, you must be 18 years old or older, no sign offs- no exceptions.
BY MAKING AN APPOINTMENT, YOU AGREE TO THESE TERMS AND FULLY UNDERSTAND THEM
I will verbally go over these with you at the consultation.
Attention clients: new shop policy. You will be charged a 3% of your total if you choose to use a debit or credit card. This is added automatically to your total, and cannot be manipulated. There is no charge to use cash.
For example, if you have $500 total for your tattoo, there is a $15 charge to use a card. This does now include using a card for a deposit. To avoid any charges, of course use cash.
I apologize for any inconvenience. This will be posted at the shop.
